Mozzarella sticks are a classic American appetizer, and combining them with marinara sauce is just classic.
Mozzarella cheese cut into 0.75 inch by 0.75 inch by 2 inch strips. Fresh mozzarella is best. You can also use mozzarella string cheese.
Some all purpose flour, enough to coat you mozzarella once
Some panko breadcrumbs, enough to coat your mozzarella once
Some Italian breadcrumbs, enough to coat your mozzarella once
Some eggs, enough to coat your mozzarella twice
A lot of oil for deep frying, use a bland oil like peanut or vegetable oil
14-15 oz of tomato sauce
1 clove of garlic, minced
1/4 of an onion, small diced
