LMC Cooking Series #14: Cooking with Lucy: 葱油秋葵

This is an easy, quick, and delicious dish to eat in the fall, as that is when okra is in full season.


750-1000 mls of boiling water

250-300 grams of okra

5-10 grams of finely diced onions

1 stalk of scallions

1.5-2.5 tablespoons of oil, preferably ones with no flavor, like vegetable and peanut oil

1/2 tsp of black pepper

1/2 tsp of five spice powder

2 tablespoons of light soy sauce


A few thin slices of red bell pepper
