LMC Cooking Series: Cooking With Aiden: Sushi and Miso Soup

Sushi is a Japanese dish where rice and other toppings are wrapped in a sheet of seaweed.

Ingredients for 2 Servings of Sushi:

600 grams of steamed white rice

40 grams of sushi vinegar/seasoning

5-6 sheets of seaweed

1 Persian cucumber, cut into eighths lengthwise


150 grams of sashimi grade salmon, but into 1 cm x 1 cm strips

4 slices of Japanese egg cake

Some fish roe

Ingredients for 4 Servings of Miso Soup:

4 cups of dashi stock/water (you can make your own dashi broth)

1 package of Japanese firm or soft tofu(It usually comes in a package that looks like a juice box, and is smaller than the Chinese type)

2 stalks of green onion, thinly sliced

3 tablespoons of miso paste


Boiled Wakame seaweed


A bamboo mat, a stock pot, a ladle, and chopsticks
