This year, The Little Masters Education Support Programs registration spaces were quickly filled up, and before it launches, let’s look back at the wonderful moments.

The goal of the SESP Education Support Programs is to provide an enriching educational experience to the students where our programs are located, while simultaneously providing a transformative opportunity for volunteers to learn and grow as a team member as well as lead and inspire as a teacher. Every summer, Little Masters Club sends teams of teachers to China’s Shanxi, Shaanxi, Beijing and Jingdezhen regional summer camps, to provide educational support to the underprivileged children, to provide

English teaching and popularize American culture.

In the process, they organized appropriate activities for the kids to explore the regional culture, volunteers can experience local rural life, understand the local humanities, develop teaching and leadership skills, and interact with local students. It also raised funds and promoted book donations to help the local schools expand their libraries for young students. Through the various integrated activities, we expect to enhance the kids’ appreciation of their convenient life styles in modern cities and their willingness to contribute to the development of other societies. For example, this is the Shanxi support camp’s 5th year since 2015. Over the past four years, a total of 73 middle and high school students have been involved in teaching. They have helped more than 330 children in Whitewater village of Shanxi Province, and helped to build 10 school book corners and donate more than 3,000 books in Chinese and English.

The Education Support Programs are held during the summer, but activities are also organized throughout the year including preparing lesson plans, classroom activities, fundraising, team bonding, and running other related events.

This summer, more little masters will join the journey. It is so popular that even with 2 additional camps this year, Sichuan and Shanghai, spaces were all filled up right after the registration opened. On Saturday, the first preparatory meeting was opened by the team leader Wang Haiqin and the volunteers from the Shanxi, Shanghai and Sichuan, and we will continue to have follow-up reports.
