About Xin Jin-
Xing started teaching piano in 2007. She developed piano studios in Suzhou, China, and Washington, D.C. Years of piano learning experience with one of the best piano professors Eryao Lin at Shanghai Conservatory of Music firmed her goal of being a music educator to share music with others. Xing holds Master of Music in Music Education (Piano) from Eastman School of Music, Rochester, NY, where she studied piano with professor Vincent Lenti, piano pedagogy with professor Tony Caramia, and early childhood music education with Dr. Donna Brink Fox. Two years working experience at the ESMS Early Chilldhood Music Program prepared Xing for working with children of all ages. Before relocating to Seattle for marriage in 2014, she was a full time piano and early childhood music instructor at Levine Music in Washington D.C. There, she taught private piano lessons, group piano classes, and early childhood music classes. Xing received Dalcroze certificate from Institute for Jaques-Dalcroze Education in 2013, and has been applying Dalcroze method into her piano and group classes since 2012. She received her Dalcroze training from The Lucy School, MD; Institute for Jaques-Dalcroze Education, PA; Longy School of Music, MA; University of Washington, WA; and the Dalcroze School of the Rockies, CO . Her teachers include Dalcroze Diplome Superieur holders Jack Stevenson, Lisa Parker, Anne Farer, Ruth Alperson, and Jeremy Dittus. She is now working towards Dalcroze License.
